Yin Yoga is ontwikkeld als tegenhanger voor de actieve &#x2018;yang&#x2019; yogavormen zoals Ashtanga, Vinyasa en Power Yoga.<br>Houdingen worden lange tijd aangehouden (5 tot 10 minuten) in een zo volledig mogelijke ontspanning. Hierdoor werken ze niet in op je spieren maar juist op je gewrichten en het bindweefsel. De stijl is deels gebaseerd op het traditionele Chinese meridianensysteem dat ook gebruikt wordt bij acupunctuur. Het doel is de energiebanen in deze weefsels te stimuleren, de bloedstroom te bevorderen en meer flexibiliteit te cre&#xEB;ren.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Yin Yoga is erg rustig en meditatief. <\/strong><br>Omdat de houdingen zo lang worden aangehouden is er veel tijd en ruimte om waar te nemen wat er in je lijf gebeurt en hierin een soort comfort te vinden door steeds weer een diepere laag los te laten, zowel lichamelijk als geestelijk.
