href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Nanda_Empire\">Nanda-rijk<\/a>&#xA0;over het grootste deel van het Indiase subcontinent.&#xA0;Het Nanda-rijk was een groot, militaristisch en economisch machtig rijk vanwege de verovering van de&#xA0;<a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Mahajanapadas\">Mahajanapadas<\/a>&#xA0;.&#xA0;Volgens verschillende legendes reisde Chanakya naar&#xA0;<a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Pataliputra\">Pataliputra<\/a>&#xA0;,&#xA0;<a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Magadha\">Magadha<\/a>&#xA0;, de hoofdstad van het&#xA0;<a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Nanda_Empire\">Nanda-rijk<\/a>&#xA0;waar Chanakya als minister voor de Nanda&#x2019;s werkte.&#xA0;Chanakya werd echter beledigd door keizer&#xA0;<a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Dhana_Nanda\">Dhana Nanda<\/a>&#xA0;, van de&#xA0;<a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Nanda_Empire\">Nanda-dynastie<\/a>&#xA0;en Chanakya zwoer wraak en zwoer het Nanda-rijk te vernietigen.&#xA0;<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www-wikiwand-com.translate.goog\/en\/Maurya_Empire?_x_tr_sl=en&amp;_x_tr_tl=nl&amp;_x_tr_hl=nl&amp;_x_tr_pto=wapp#citenoteNamita2008244\">[44]<\/a><\/sup>Hij moest vluchten om zijn leven te redden en ging naar Taxila, een opmerkelijk leercentrum, om als leraar te werken.&#xA0;Op een van zijn reizen was Chanakya getuige van enkele jonge mannen die een landelijk spel speelden en een veldslag oefenden.&#xA0;Hij was onder de indruk van de jonge Chandragupta en zag koninklijke kwaliteiten in hem als iemand die geschikt was om te v.Chr.) <\/li><li><strong>Shalishuka<\/strong> ( 215-202 v.Chr.)<\/li><li><strong>Devavarman<\/strong> (of Devadharman)  (202-195 v.Chr)<\/li><li>.<strong>Shatadhanvan<\/strong> ( 195-187&#xA0;v.Chr)<\/li><li><strong>Brihadratha<\/strong> was de laatste heerser van het Mauryan-rijk.&#xA0;Hij regeerde van 187 tot 180 vGT,<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het Mauryan-rijk in de Indiase geschiedenis is ontstaan &#x200B;&#x200B;&#x200B;&#x200B;uit het Magadha-koninkrijk dat op de Indo-Gangetische vlaktes ligt.&#xA0;Deze vormen nu het grootste deel van de staten West-Bengalen en Bihar.&#xA0;De hoofdstad was Patyliputra, dat nu in de buurt van Patna ligt.&#xA0;Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara en Ashoka de Grote waren de opmerkelijke heersers van de
