De Kuttani-mata<\/a> van Damodaragupta is een van de weinige werken in de geschiedenis van de klassieke Sanskrietliteratuur waarvan de tijd en plaats van de compositie met een redelijke mate van zekerheid kunnen worden vastgesteld.
We leren van Kalhana dat Damodaragupta een hoge positie bekleedde onder de Karkota-Naga<\/p>\n\n\n\n
